By developing the ideas obtained at the Virtual School of Social Innovation, the Foundation wants to develop the potential that Pula as a city has in its philanthropic story, which will greatly contribute to creating the foundation for future generations for socially responsible behavior and living.
The registered teams, led by mentors - experts in the field of social entrepreneurship, marketing and branding, history and storytelling, developed the idea of a new social enterprise. The best proposal starts with the realization, and the members of the winning team have the opportunity to participate in the realization itself for a fee through a work contract.
The virtual school of social innovation was held online through introductory video lectures and consultations with experts in the above areas, in addition to the final presentation of business plans evaluated by an expert committee. The Virtual School of Social Innovation is an ideal opportunity to gain experience and collaborate with leading experts in these fields.
The Regional Center for the Development of Social Innovation - "ReCeD'Istria" will continue to organize Virtual Schools of Social Innovation that will address the issues of problems collected in the field in cooperation with the local community. The goal is to develop new social innovations and social enterprises in the Istrian County, to promote and create "bottom-up" innovative solutions based on participation, cooperation, decentralization, openness and multidisciplinarity.
The project "+ Resilient" is funded by the Interreg Mediterranean 2014-2020 program from the European Regional Development Fund and co-financed by the Office for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. The project involves 14 partners from 8 Mediterranean countries and aims to network, connect and transfer knowledge and good practices to encourage and develop social innovation and influence the creation of stronger institutional support at the European level.
