As part of the + Resilient Project, the manifestation "Days of Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation in Istria" will be held from September 15 to September 27 2021. in the territory of the Istrian Region. The event is organized by the Public Institution "Regional Coordinator of the Region of Istria for European Programs and Funds and the Foundation for Partnership and Civil Society Development.

There will be held interactive workshops about social innovations with an accompanying exhibition that will show the results of the + Resilient project, i.e. social entrepreneurial ideas that are being developed as part of the + Resilient Project. The "Days of Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Istria" will be held in cooperation with local self-government units and are open to all interested stakeholders - representatives of civil society organizations, public administration, educational institutions, the private sector, and other interested citizens.

The opening of the "Days of Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation in Istria" will be held in Pula (Circolo), on September 15 2021. with the presentation of the results of the + Resilient project, the Regional Center for Social Innovation - ReCeD'Istria and concrete ideas of social enterprises that can be supported in their implementation. Interesting panelists will be guests at the event and all interested participants will be able to hear more about social innovations, social entrepreneurship, and social impact.

The programme for Wednesday, September 15 in Pula (Circolo) is:

9:45 - 10:45 Panel discussion: Social entrepreneurship and social innovation - why are they important for local community development? (Kristina Afrić Rakitovac, Associate Professor, Kristian Korunić, Business Consultant, Lana Lovasić, Social Innovation Consultant, Vjeran Piršić, President of the Eco Kvarner Association, Helga Možé, Foundation Manager)
10:45 - 11:15 Why did we start setting up a framework for measuring social impact? (Helga Možé, Foundation Manager, Darko Ciglar, Social Impact Expert - ACT Group, Sonja Grozić - Živolić, Head of the Istria Region Health and Social Welfare Board)

11:15 - 13:00 Interactive workshop "Social innovation to common solutions of local problems: recycling: an opportunity for entrepreneurship and the creation of new values", moderators: Vjeran Piršić, Lana Lovašić and Helga Možé.

The "Days of social entrepreneurship and innovation" will also be held in Buje, Labin, Poreč and Rovinj on specific topics. Through workshops about social innovation, the intention is to reach a concrete solution in cooperation with various stakeholders that can be implemented and realized in terms of the relevant problem of the local community that stakeholders have identified. The workshops will last 2 hours (from 1 pm to 3 pm) on the following dates:

The event will be held in accordance with measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic COVID - 19 and the number of participants is limited.

The "+ Resilient" project is funded by the Interreg Mediterranean 2014-2020 program from the European Regional Development Fund and co-financed by the Office for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. The project involves 14 partners from 8 Mediterranean countries and aims to network, connect and transfer knowledge and good practices to encourage and develop social innovation and influence the creation of stronger institutional support at the European level.
